Slip power recovery schemes: Static Kramer Drive

This video lecture explains the one method of slip power recovery scheme, that is called static kramer drive in which the slip power is converted into mechanical power which is used to drive the rotor of induction motor in the same direction in which the rotor is already rotating. The diode bridge connected across the slip-rings converts induced ac voltages of rotor into dc (Vd1), the output of rectifier is connected to the armature of a separately excited dc motor.
