Actually it's because of the edition of the video I suppose he just turned down the band vol and invreased voices vol

It's most likely bleed from his headphones. When you add all the compressors and saturation to the vocals the noise floor will rise which results in louder bleed. Also, when you do screaming vocals your ear drums will shut out some volume to protect themselves which oftentimes makes it necessary to have the volume quite high on the phones while tracking.

It's most likely not headphone bleed, it's probably just artifacts from the process of isolating the vocals. Headphone bleed will usually be noise-gated out, unless the engineer is pretty new. Cuts back on noise reduction for the final master.

One of the biggest things that makes slipknot so great is the amount of detail in their songs, with numerous instrumental/vocal layers, that everytime you listen to, you can find something you didn't hear before

Amp simulation, minor chorus and overdrive, distortion here and there, and lots of experimentation

Billfrank got it for the most part. Amp sim with light distortion. Other parts are intentionally downsampled, so that the quality is reduced, which helps with the 'distorted' tone. Some of the background vocals appear to be harsh-gated, or harsh-clipped as well, which is the process of intentionally amplifying the volume so that it hits the noise ceiling, and then reducing the clip distortion with either a compressor, an equalizer, or (in extremely rare cases) a noise gate.

It's so strange but his voice gives me proper full-body frisson and yet he's not a skillful singer, he doesn't have a 'great' voice - and yet I love it SO much... his voice has the greatest impact on my brain, making it light up like a christmas tree!
