This was my first (and only so far) time seeing Slipknot. I had wanted to see them for 12 years at the point of this show. So far, with all the shows I’ve seen... this has been my favorite. I will never forgive this night. VA loves you, Slipknot! Come back soon!

So glad my friends and I took the 5 plus hour drive to catch this show. First time seeing Gojira and Slipknot is just...the best fucking metal band there is. Blown away by them every time. And Bristow was a hell of a crowd. Great recording, cheers.

I was at this show, it was my 6th Slipknot show, dating back to 2001. But this is the first time I was in the pit, dead center front row. I got to tell you this story how I got in the pit. So I brought my buddy Chris, we had decent seats, as soon as we got to our seats, Chris said "I'll be right back". What he did was he snuck into the pit. He literally grabbed a white napkin and a black sticker, wrapped it around his arm, and walked past security, flashing his "fake" wristband (the real wristbands were like orange or something, so his fake one wasn't even close), but none the less, they let him in. Once he was in the pit, he wanted to get me in there, so he asked 2 kids if he could borrow their wrist bands, thinking he would go get me, give me one, and get both of us back in. Chris asked the kids if he could borrow the wrist bands, in exchange he said "I'll let you have all the cash in my wallet to keep and hold onto my phone as collateral". They agreed, taking the $40 some odd dollars, and held onto the phone. Chris came and got me, we got into the pit, Chris got his phone back, but the kids dropped and cracked his phone! But Chris just said "that's what insurance is for!" So it was totally worth it. It turned out to be the best time ever!

its still great to see slipknot still keep going with thier music and with tool aswell with thier newest album unlike some other nu metal bands who arnt still around anymore but might do some live shows but slipknot manage to evolved over the last 20 years still long live the knot

@@IJustFiguredThisOut I couldn't really tell. This was my first Slipknot show, so I was in awe pretty much the whole time of it all and not too concerned about the sound quality. I heard from someone else who'd seen them before that this wasn't their best show. It was good enough for me to want see them again though!

@@jlokke32 Yeah I have seen them several times, it wasn't the best but it was still awesome. Being that close to the stage, the PA system speakers are pretty much pointed out to the crowd behind you, so I could barely hear the vocals or anything being that close. I do remember a bunch of hot ladies on the side of the stage to the left, presumably their gf's.

jlokke32 that exactly, October 2001 on the Iowa tour. It was fucking unreal! Only a month after 9/11 too. I’ve seen them 2001, 2004, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.

Sinister OutKasT when I saw them in Chicago I thought the order was all wrong. Behemoth first made no sense to me. I’m not a Volbeat fan, but to each their own. In my opinion it should have been Volbeat, Gojira, Behemoth then Slipknot.
