If not for the whole playing vertical and rotated shit. And me being a Slipknot Maggot, he's got one of the most awful sounding solos in metal. A bunch of just random no rhythm strikes. All but the very end sucks.

Let's see you get up there and pull off anything remotely close to what he just did then... Also solos don't need to have rhythm to them unless you're in some shitty pop rock band and you're trying to make people dance. This is metal... It's all about skill and speed here.. and Joey has both. This solo, along with all his others, are incredible.

'just random no rhythm strikes'? You clearly don't know what you're talking about :D Yes some of it is adlib because that's the freedom gifted during a drum solo. But some of it is repeat rhythms that he used each time he did this. Watch the other videos and you'll notice the repeat patterns.
