this song is my anguish anthem My mom died this past June due to breast cancer and other health complications. Today is actually her birthday at the time of writing this comment . She would have been 47. When she was in hospice and getting closer to passing away I was in an incredibly dark place emotionally and was close to committing suicide. I remember playing this song a lot on my drums and would always scream, pull my hair, and do other self destructive things by the end of the song each time I played it. “Keep myself alive through your empathy” are lyrics that will forever haunt me till the day I die. Thank you slipknot. Edit: thank you so much for all the support! For those wondering how I’ve been. I’m doing ok. Been two years since she passed. There’s definitely still times where i do still think about her but for the most part I’m in a lot better place than I was. Thank you so much for all the kind words. Slipknots music brings us all together no matter what we’re going through. Long live the knot.

Been living in Iowa for 24 years and used to live on the south side where Corey grew up in the 80's, its trashy. Iowa is slow and dull (similar like middle of nowhere), not enough activities you can do there but going to mall, movie theaters, out to eat, hanging with friends and thats it, nothing more. if you want pursue something BIG in your life you gonna have to have some money to get out of Iowa bcus you wont make it too far.
