I have the same guitar too, to play slipknot i use the strings of a 7 string guitar, and use the would-be 7th string for my 6th string. This means i have one string i don't use (the would-be 6th string) but in this way the tuning is much more consistent and i can tune to drop A without adjusting tuning every few minutes

Drop B tuning would be standard C# tuning with the 6th string tuned to B. Since i find that you don't need particularly heavy string for standard C# i don't use heavy strings. However the 6th string needs to be thicker because it's tuned lower, and you may also want to play Drop A if you like slipknot (e.g. the devil in i). So i buy ernie ball 7 string power slinky which are: .58 .48 .38. .28 .18 .14 .11 And because i have a 6 string guitar (i actually own the same guitar you see in this video) i just don't use the .48 string which would be the 6th string, but since i need a thicker string i use the .58
