The one with the piercing eyes is named Mick Thompson. He's a big guy too 6'4. At a show of their's once he was staring right at me because I am 6'6 myself so my head generally sticks over the crowd and lots of artists eyes just naturally get drawn to me when they look into the audience. Anyways his stare is indeed intimidating even more so live haha.

Nice reaction! Fun fact: they change masks and outfits every album cycle, some of them make little changes (like the 2 guitar players) but others (like Corey and Sid) have completely different ones. @@Jucified7062 I more into more extreme metal like death metal melodeath and melodic death/doom and there is so much good metal out there, you really just gotta look for it because it’s not the stuff that is popular these days. I still listen to Metallica occasionally but I get far more enjoyment listening to melodeath bands and there is a whole load of good melodeath out there. Metal just isn’t mainstream at all these days outside of like a few huge bands but there is still so much good metal out there you just gotta dig a little deeper to find it.

This is, unfortunately, true. Joey left the band due to an autoimmunity disorder (transverse myelitis) that, for a while, stopped him being able to use his legs properly. He has since passed. RIP Joey! Paul died of heart failure, as well. RIP Paul! Chris left the band for a number of reasons. The new drummer, Jay Weinberg, is the son of Bruce Spingsteen's drummer Max Weinberg, and he's a BEAST. As for the masks, there are regular changes to them. Sometimes those changes are hardly noticeable, other times they are significant.

Yeah one thing you will notice with Slipknot is they get new mask redesigns for every new album. Keeps them fresh. The biggest jump in masks was from the second album (Iowa) to the third one (Vol 3: The subliminal verses)
