I went for an MRI at my local hospital, where, just before the scan, they gave me headphones to play a local radio to protect my ears from the noise it makes. This is the song that got me into Slipknot. The first song I heard by Slipknot was Goodbye, which I heard on October 20th, 2018, the day my Grandmother died and my Uncle Chris put this as a tribute. Back then, I listened to it once and I thought it was ok. I was really into KISS back in 2019 and my Stepdad was trying to get me to listen to other bands because KISS was the only band I listened to and he put on KZbin when they were live at Download in 2009. I thought Sic and Eyeless were cool but I wasn't into it as much. The day Unsainted came out, my Uncle was talking about it and the next morning, I watched this video and listened to the song. This was the best choice I EVER made. I couldn't stop listening to it and had every word memorized within a week. I listened to some of their older stuff and loved it. I got into Stone Sour afterwards and then Korn. Slipknot has helped me through a lot as well as Korn and I'm still listening to both of them to this day. Corey Taylor is the man and I'm so blessed that I got into his music and I hope I meet him one day and thank him cause he is a musician that I will look up to forever

Edit: Update 11/09/24 I’ve noticed some people asking for an update and yes, he got his set, simple enough and his hand coordination was off and he was very upset he couldn’t play like Jay Weinberg at a go😬😬😬 Obviously right? I set him up with Rock Band and he was deviant. He gave up. Last year, he went back to his drum set and took it serious. He refused professional lessons(he’s shy) but, went back to Rock Band after I took him to see his favorite band, 21 Pilots live. He loves Josh Dunn. He was inspired to pick up drumming with a more serious attitude this time around. Fast forward to 2024, took him to see 21 Pilots again on the Clancy tour last month. His passion for drumming has come full circle. Getting him a new set this year, he is now 10 and playing Rock Band on his own and is in between hard and expert modes failing and exceeding his own expectations. He’s fond of older music taking in the likes of the Stones, Bowie, Queen, Metallica, and many other bands and can now drum by ear when he plays his set. I’ve asked him if I could record him and he is still shy about it refusing to play if I’m around. He is set up in the basement and he is being a mad scientist downstairs. What was once a blister of confusion coming down from below has now become a harmonic symphony from below☺️☺️☺️☺️ And yes, he has a double bass pedal to which he has yet to fully utilize yet, he is coming around. He is following many drummer channels on KZbin as well. This is the update for anyone who is curious what has happened since this post. He is slowly mastering his craft on his own terms. I am so proud of him!!! He wrote a letter to Santa asking for Slipknot, 21 Pilots, Muse, Blink 182, and Pink Floyd T-shits. Mind you he’s only 10 and venturing off on his own rabbit holes into music history😃😃😃😃

Joey Jordison’s vertical drum solo made me a fan when I was a kid around 9 years old. When I seen it I was blown away, to a kid it was the coolest thing ever (as an adult it still is).
