I came across this song after watching Young Sheldon and the clip on tiktok of both Sheldon and Amy & how they would make great parents to their son, Leonard Cooper. Aside from that, this song "Slipping Through My Fingers" would be a real "tear- jerker" that, along with "These Are The Days Of Our Lives," from the rock band Queen I would definitely think of this song as an anthem for mothers and especially on Mother's Day in May.

Back in 2020, my girlfriend at the time played Donna in our local theatre's production of MAMA MIA. The shutdown came the day before opening night. We weren't able to perform for a whole year. When we finally re-opened, I watched my lovely, talented girlfriend knock this song out of the park. This song, for all of those reasons, makes me cut onions every time.
