this song alone makes me go back to my childhood days. i remember going to singapore with my cousin for 10 days and they had a expensive computer that i never had so we spent our time playing maple story, roaming around the streets of singapore with a bike together. me and her had a special time together. especially the sunsets man. remember this songs was playing when we opened. man its been 12 years.. makes me wanna spend that 10 days again.

The youngest ones played this game are probably the kids who born between 1990-2000 internationally, which makes the youngest one 24 yrs old today. If you born after 2000, by the time you're 10, it's 2010, you have more options than Maple Story. I remember how Maple Story took over the my classmates from 2004 to 2010, but after 2010, League of Legends started to take over half of my class at the time, most them were into Maple Story first. And you know how League of Legends got so popular for a while after 2010, many kids who born in early 2000s just went straight to LOL, not Maple Story. It's sad, but it's just a generational thing, I believe there are some kids who born in 2000s and still play this game and love it, but they're becoming the few percentage in the class, no longer major percentage in class like us who born in earlier than 2000s. Glad to see some 2000s kids still love this game, but also sad to see we're getting less and less people who born after us to share our childhood. I personally born in late 90s, but I don't get why people are so hype up about DragonBall Z and Star Wars, I know it's popular but it's just not hitting me or feeling like it's something that everyone in class would talk about, at least never once I hear anyone in my class talk about it, everyone was talking about One Piece, Naruto, Harry Potter, Twilight when I was growing up, I guess it's the same feeling for Star Wars fans and DragonBall Z fans when they see people like me, who born later than them but not into it, and unable to share a conversation with them on it. In another 10 years, no 5 years, I'd very old for these, but we Maple Story generation will grow old together lol

Been looking for calming sounds to listen to, to help me relax amidst the stress of everyday life during this pandemic. Listened to some waterfalls and ocean waves for awhile, which was nice. Decided to try something new, and I randomly remembered Maple Story having some pretty relaxing music. Typed in "maple story ost" and this is the first track that showed up. I feel very calm and optimistic at the moment. I haven't played Maple Story in more than a decade and even then I never got too far. I don't know what the night market is (current track) even is, or pre-big bang (that's part of the title of this playlist I'm listening to). I guess what I'm trying to say is, even though it's been more than a decade, I still remember MS and its chill music. I moved from MS China to MS US in 2007, when I was in grade 5. I met my first two American friends and one of them gave me an beautiful Independence Day hat that I’ve never seen before. We were hanging out together all the time and they taught me English. Soon I left because my free VPN service expired. My name is ChinaPaul but now China is banned from a name in game. I still kept the hat. Hope they can get back online again. I as a kid, used VPN to explore US, Japan, Singapore and Korea servers. Each with unique maps and cultures. It was truly a lifetime traveling experience. Friends I made 15 years ago are still connected with me through their wechat number in China. I lived in that world for my entire childhood while China and the world changed so much. Thank you MapleStory. This bgm is a time machine.
