Love hearing Alexa’s story, and how strong she is. But I don’t agree with the Johnny/Amber point of view. I feel like she is biased because of her situation. I don’t believe Johnny physically abused her, he definitely does have his problems especially with alcohol, but I don’t believe he has physically abused Amber. More reason for her to see through AH lies
@Mr.Seek420 Жыл бұрын
Yes I agree with that and I do understand that different dv survivors resonated with either side and that is completely valid, but highlighting insignificant things like him laughing and joking with his lawyers to discredit Johnny (another possible DV survivor) but ignoring solid evidence he provided of his own abuse such as the multiple recordings of Amber talking about hitting him is just not right. She completely misrepresented the situation and that upset people for good reason in my opinion
@annihilxte Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.Seek420 you said it perfectly! Completely agree. as a survivor myself I felt so much of what JD said so deeply since I could relate to a lot of it. He had me in tears multiple times throughout his testimony and I could feel the sincerity and pain. I felt like he had proven his words with the evidence, which I didn’t feel she had done. The way she presented herself screamed manipulation to me and when she spoke, it was triggering af so ultimately I felt like she wasn’t being honest. And I went into it with an open mind because I remember when the paper came out and I truly had thought he had done it. But as I watched the trial unfold, I just wasn’t seeing that. On the other hand, like Alexa was saying how she could relate to some of what Amber was going through with the bullying and ridiculing. Which yeah, some people definitely took it too far for sure. If she could relate to Amber then I get why she sided that way, along with other survivors. So I completely understand why she believed her… even if I don’t agree with it, I can respect that. But when she mentioned something about how people claimed the photo evidence was edited, well later on there was testimony that yes, AH really had edited and put images through multiple apps before submitting them into evidence. Definitely didn’t agree with some of her takes about it. But I still love what she’s doing with Eat Predators, plus so glad she is with a great guy who supports her and treats her the way she deserves. Ugh these things are tough. With all that aside, still a great episode. She’s been through a lot of bs that most people could never share openly, so I’ve got respect for her. I wish I could be like this when it comes to my abuser. Also love Alexa and Sloan’s dynamic together!

We cannot stop speaking or “bothering” people about how incredibly present grooming and exploiting the abuse of women is among our lives, and it happening right in front of our faces! I would send photos and videos of my teenage self to complete strangers online, and looking back now as my 23 year old self, I just feel so much for my teen self because I obviously had no self respect and no logical understanding of how fucked up all of that was. @@cherrygirl64 actually, a standard of abuse is that one person is in the position of authority. There’s a difference between toxic behavior in relationships and what’s defined as a classically abusive relationship. There’s one abuser in a relationship because they have the power. It’s about a power imbalance, which is what empowers the abuse to continue. I hope that makes sense, but that’s something that’s missing from these current conversations that’s very much a present factor in standard domestic violence education

I think both Amber and Johnny were just toxic and abusive to each other. I wasn't there, so I don't know who was "worse" in this case, but I'm glad they are away from each other and that they both heal and become better humans. Doesn't change what's happened, but I hope for healing. I will say I could not understand the hate she got during the trial. I understand thinking she's lying or that she was toxic- fine. But making fun of her trauma that you really are not sure is real or not? How does that help anyone? Nah, that made me uncomfy. It is crazy to think about how all this happened and how we all got to watch. It felt...strange.
@teijaflink2226 Жыл бұрын
It's disgusting what the media and public made out of it though. I don't either really know who was worse, both seemm to have been fighting with each other but I'm disgusted by the constant abusive language and misogyny that she's still getting and how it has been proven Johnny was a defenceless victim of abuse (it was a deformation trial) so I kind of feel like supporting her now nowadays, anyway Johnny always had a much bigger and pretty crazy fanbase. Anyway I don't think the trial should have been public, this was a private matter between, just a nasty marriage, I can't see how anything good come out of it, just people fighting each other and being nasty. Sick of all the lies fans from both sides whete spreading too to spread their agenda and mess with people.

No hate to you at all I totally respect your opinion, but my view point is totally different because AH showed so many red flags that even if you can't support JD, you definitely shouldn't support someone like AH. Who lies to make herself look better in spite of children, proof that she staged things to make JD look worse which is why a lot of her evidence wasn't in trial (which funny enough she kept bringing up and it was because they were photoshopped or staged), said she was punched repeatedly in the face with JDs rings on his fist and they were some thick heavy duty rings.... She said she apparently had a black eye and swollen and busted lip however MAKEUP "covered" it for her interview the day after. look up the photos they're easy to find. That's just a few things that happened.
@italkwhatever Жыл бұрын
The reason why people would have been so mad with her is because 1. She got caught lying multiple times, 2. She actually paraded these lies and ruined a man's career without revealing any of the things she did. 3. Lack of acknowledgement until the very end.

I don’t think Johnny did it for entertainment. The problem with MeToo and the just believe victims is that mere allegations are treated like convictions. And in order to clear his reputation, he had to make it public because he probably knew people would not believe him (I’m still angry people portray Amber Heard as a victim) . He was right. I think it is an excellent lesson in looking at all sides of a situation before passing judgment. And don’t lie in court!!!

Humanity may never be rid of many of its most unflattering characteristics, from the relatively recent ugliness like the perverse fascination with scandal surrounding celebrities which currently reigns as the final form of the evil of gossipmongering to the shameless revelry in gratuitous violence that has defined us as a species since time immemorial. Sadly, we may always choose to be stupid, petty, stubborn, ethically hideous thugs.

Alexa reminds me of an old friend I had. She’s very “pro-women” and it doesn’t matter what the facts are, they’re gonna side with the woman. The Johnny/Amber thing is so complicated. They were both toxic, but we can all agree that Amber brought out a side to Johnny that he had not displayed in any of his previous relationships. Yet, Amber has previous domestic violence incidents against family and exes. I’m just saying, the whole “side with women” without reviewing ALL the facts is dangerous. And viewing every situation through the lens of your trauma is dangerous as well. Hopefully Alexa continues to heal from the traumatic events she went through.

I felt so sick watching it. The way she talked about the bottle she was R**** with felt like a mockery. It felt as if she was acting for the "preference of her life". Her "busted, Bleeding lip" that was completely healed within 24 hours. Oh and the makeup she was using before a year before the product was created. Which her lawyers backtracked almost immediately. The next day they are like no actually it is just similar to to that particular product. I'm Done I'm too upset to keep it respectful at the moment. It actually hurt to see amber do that.

If Alexa truly thinks, feels and actually genuinely believes that Johnny Depp was the abuser? If she thinks that HIS text messages were “abusive?” If she thinks the things that he had said to her was abuse? I mean… okay. She’s most certainly entitled to have her own thoughts and opinions. That’s totally fine…But!… why didn’t she bring up or even somewhat mention what Ambers messages said? Or the endless amounts of recordings the entire world listened to of Amber being mentally, emotionally AND Physically abusive to Johnny? As well as Amber quite literally admitting that she hit him, followed by calling him a “baby.” Oh and let’s not forget the finger.. why doesn’t she bring up that Amber severed Johnny’s finger tip off with a glass bottle she hit him with..? What about Amber using make up to horribly attempt making her face look bruised? And her comment about the Quayludes or however you spell it; making it out to seem like Johnny forced amber to do the drugs.. when realistically Amber loved the shit just as much. She couldn’t get enough cocaine up her nose. But… i digress. I’m no licensed therapist but I have a strong feeling that because of the abuse Alexa has endured in her life, that she’s essentially biased and blames all men when it comes to DV situations. All the hard evidence is literal proof that JD was the victim. Amber was found guilty and for damn good reason #isupportjohnnydepp
