Slope and scale. How the geometric parameters depend on the spatial resolution.

In geographic information systems, we frequently work with parameters derived from the digital elevation model: slopes, curvatures, roughness... This video shows how to check a weak point of the process: the dependence of these parameters on the working scale or, more correctly, on the spatial resolution of the DEM. At the end, we will build a graph that will show the need to control this dependence as well as how incorrect comparisons between digital terrain models built from different sources can be.
