Heya man I just wanted to thank you for your step by step instructions. I've been trying to get mod menyoo to work for my step son to mess around in GTA 5 story mode. Using your guide it worked, and he is so happy! He watched and learned how to do so many new things with a computer(like control c-control v for copy and pasting, how to find the game files for his steam games and much more). thank you. literally no one else, including mod makers, explain that "update" needs putting in mod folder and why. many Mod install instructions say "put file in mods/update/x64" but my mod folder was empty, so I'm like WTF?

That's how it works bro the Open IV messes with the Update file the other mods work from the main game directory.

So happy I can finally mod GTA V! Been waiting to get a decent gaming laptop for ages. Installed a few lambos and Audis and actually got a glock to replace the pistol (using the installer). Having issues with replace files though as they don’t load any of the weapons, following the read me aswell. I think I’ll figure it out with practice. Cheers for the upload!

I’ve been having issues with script hook v. When I copy the files over to the main directory and start up the game I get infinite black screen. Deleting the files makes the game work again.. any ideas?

the reason for the mods folder with the copy of the update folder is that if there is a problem and the mods curpt the gamefiles you wont have to download back the 55Gig Update file u can just delete the mods folder

However, I gather that copying the update folder to mods folder is purely for the sake of preserving the original update folder in case things go wrong. I already had a copy of the clean update folder on a separate drive before I started installing anything. I assume that having a copy of a clean update folder on another drive is just as good as having two update folders in the GTA V install location: the original one and a 'sacrificial' one in mods folder.

What care spawner are you using. If it's the old menyoo it's going to despwan... but there is a new version of menyoo which works great
