1:32/1:24 use the same track. Sets come with the smallest radius turns. There are much larger radius ones available.

Those are sweet I have the white beemer in the 1/32 scale size they look really nice!! Ad a few more long straights to your layout and you will really be able to let em rip!! Good fun glad you like the larger scales!

Yup, some more straights, wider turns, maybe some banks. We’ll get this thing running like the KRAKEN. I haven’t tuned theses cars yet. They definitely could use some oil (shame on me). Got some work to do, let’s have fun with this. Have a good one, SCFL!

Lower the magnet, and they will take the turns fast. You will be much happier with the set then.

I plan on doing some tuning. Those were straight out the box. I didn’t even oil them. They could use it. And I didn’t true the tires yet. Being it’s kinda small for 1/24, more straightaway and some banks would also help the speed. All will come. Thanks for the comment, have a good one. SCFL!

How does this compare with the Full Speed 124 set? Is this one better? It looks like the Full Speed has guide rails a little more track and two different type of cars. I’m wondering which is the better set.

The Full Speed set wasn’t out when purchased the Start Your Engines set. If you can get the Full Speed set for the same price, I’d definitely go for the Full Speed Set, more track. I must say that the Beamers in the Start Your Engines set are awesome. Great question, thanks for the comment. SCFL!

Thanks for the reply. I think it’s about $20 more. I do like there is more track but then again the cars don’t match so I’m not sure they perform similarly. I like the Start your engines set have two matching BMWs. I think it makes racing more fair. Hmmm decisions decisions. Thanks for putting up your video. There aren’t many up on that set.

No problem, thanks for watching. Start Your Engines is a great set. I’ve seen other people had the same bridge support issue. But those Beamers are great cars. Tough, but either choice will be a good one. SCFL!

I just ordered the Start Your Engines set. Even though there is more track in the Full Speed set, I like the two matching BMWs in this set. Is it blatantly obvious if you have a bridge support issue before assembling everything? Is there a part number to look for? I would like to avoid getting it all assembled only to find out they are the wrong ones. I want to get it together and start racing. Thanks again.

I hear ya brother. You’d been happy with either one. But you made a great decision, those Beamers are awesome. I should make a follow up video on that, but I’ll give you the scoop. They sent me out the same bridge supports (I called it). Even if you combine both sets of supports, it wouldn’t be enough. It’s clearly a Carrera issue. I just found stuff around the household to use for supports (cell phone box, tape roll, cigarette case, etc..). You should be able to find something if worse case. You’ll be able to get up and going. Those cars get better the more you drive em’. (get broken in). I don’t know if they make the right bridge supports. I’m excited for ya, have fun. Best wishes, SCFL!

Most of the bridge supports I received had a screw base where you could lengthen or shorten the post

I was on a live chat, and I asked the question “Can you upgrade 1/43 scale cars?”. The answer was “Yes, 1/32 scale cars”. So i figured the next logical step would be 1/24 scale. I having a blast with this scale. These cars are fresh out the box. I still need to tune them up. Thanks for the comment Ed, have a good one. SCFL.

Hey, that's a superb set for the 124 cars ...can i ask you was that full throttle...is you power supply the recommended 18v or 14v .I was wondering because the set had the wrong bridge supports .Maybe you also got the 14v instead of the 18v power supply? Either way its an awesome set ...i I hope to get some 124 cars next year 😊...Harry

Excellent question Harry, thanks for asking. And thanks for the wonderful comment. I did get the 18v power pack. And no, that wasn’t full throttle. It was full power, but for filming purposes, I took it easy on the throttle. I haven’t tuned those cars either. They’re right out the box. I’m having a blast with this thing. 1/24 scale is awesome.
