yeah i had 2 mordred and 2 funeral moon. I didnt see a guardian in the field but felt quiet confidant that I could chain a huge turn to take the tempo and grind them out. as appose to feeling like a had a shit show of not much heading into the match @smilelikeachow

I'll try a less greedy version, but keeping 3x mordred tide as a sideboard tool since i expect many fatigue decks next weekend at rtn. I really wished to see a game against bravo to learn the matchup better

I can help with that. Bravo should go on fatigue plan cuz otherwise you can race them. I run 3 timesnap potion and 3 mordred tide. If you put some pressure and block the hammer, you should be able to play out potions, and keep mordred tide and deathly wail in deck. 2nd cycle you banish the deathly wails, and when you have about 4 you can play any shadow non-attack, crack potions, and go off. The mu is very okay on this plan

Yup, I should probably cut back on the greed lol. I've ran into some situations where I stubbornly decided to stack chants and wait for the combo instead of engaging in "covering fire", then ended up being tagged by disruption and not being able to pull off the combo turn anyway. After all Vynnset needs but 3 runechants to start the combo, which should be easily attainable using reduce, incantation etc. Using timesnap potions seem like an interesting idea against fatigue especially if you get to draw them early (and if you draw them late the dominate will make sure you couldn't have blocked with it if it were another card anyway lol). Might give it a shot 🤔

Against Katsu and Fai Vynnset has typically performed fine with just her normal playstyle. I think against them you can choose to not focus on the combo and instead focus on your 2-3 block plus an attack back gameplan and it's should be close to a 50/50. The D reacts would come in, carapace instead of tunic, and minimize your 2 blocks.

Against Ninjas I'd board in all the available 0-cost D-reacts, and board out as many 2-blocks and any NAA that isn't 0-cost (since you'll need an extra card from hand to play those) as possible. Have updated the matchup on the decklist and added in 2x Hold the Lines which should also help with the Brute / Dromai / Kassai matchup. Will be doing more testing vs. ninja with this deck to get a feel for it, since the last Vynnset build which I tested against ninjas had like 6 more D-reacts, which definitely skews the experience by a lot 😅

Sorry for the late reply! Yeah, you totally could if you want to. It doesn't block, so you could either swap out Oblivion to minimize the number of non-blocks, or swap out 1x Blue Pumpkin since it's the blue with the least block 🤔

Without Jack-o'-Lantern, I'd replace the red one for 3x (red) Envelop in Darkness so there's still at least 9 ways to Deathly Wail into rune gate 3. This will definitely use a card from hand however (due to the 1-resource cost of envelop), but at least the 3rd runechant is guaranteed and there's + 3 attack to the next rune gate. For the blue pumpkin, I'd probably switch them out for 3x (blue) Envelop in Darkness. Once again, this means one extra card from hand is required during the combo turn, but as a tradeoff, the 3rd runechant is guaranteed, and the combo turn can potentially present itself more often since now there are 12 ways to Deathly Wail into rune gate 3. Using envelopes instead of pumpkins will remove 6 banish sources from the deck, so as an alternative, you could consider: 1. Running Chains of Mephetis into more matchups. This is risky, but you can combo this with crown / sink below to get multiple rune gates into banished. 2. Run 3 copies of (Red) Dimenxxxional Gateway. This costs a resource, but you can more "precisely" banish cards and set up your hand due to the Opt 3 Might be doing a video in the near future on how this would work. Hope this helps! 🙂👍
