Great, street light poles can be made from either 6mm aluminium tube and merely cut to length and Bend last 60 mm to go over track, I however used 6mm steel drinking straws which were near perfect length and bend angle For the LED' S I used a xmas tree string of lights (200 leds) and stripped LED's from it ($7) Power supply .....the cheapest least fussy is a desktop computer power supply it has 3.3, 5 and 12 volts usable tappings Job done,

For car lights think about useing 3v zener diode as voltage restrictor instead of resistor

This is the exact video I needed. I've been looking at LEDs trying to figure out what to buy. I didn't know about Buck converters, that'll help so much! Thank you!

im glad you found it helpful!

Did you use a resistor or anything between the 3v LEDs in the car and the chip?
@slotrods6430 Жыл бұрын
@@FrozenGecko all of my LEDs are 3V led chips. Since im wiring them to a digital chip thats rated for a 3v output, theres no need for resistors

Good info. Would you use the 3528 on both 132 and 124 cars?
@slotrods6430 Жыл бұрын
I dont have any 124's to compare with. the 3528 is a pretty bright chip and should look ok, but you could always grab some 5050 chips and wire some of them up and compare. The 5050 is the next size up.
