Watched this video for the 2nd time tonight, saw something this time I missed the first time, the adapter for 3/32 axles. With this knowledge, when I start my 1/24 and 1/25 scratch builds I can buy the wheels with the larger axle openings (better selection) and use 3/32nd axles. I didn't see where the adapters are available on the slotting plus website, but I did find them available from a dealer here in the states. Thanks for the info.

Nice tutorial!! Round tires grant smoother running car which you will notice in lap times!! Polyurethan tires work better if the surface is smoother.

Good video, Slot Rods. Im going to and Share and recommend to subscribe. We are currently at the point where we are swapping axles NSR, Slot it and Slotting Plus and running PGT and aftermarket Guides. We have tried Piranha and Barracuda motors. But found the Amp draw shorts out the Standard Carrera CU with 6 Cars. It's really hard to go back once you have opened Pandoras box 😢😮😂 Im guessing from here we goto a variable power supply or stick to Stock motors. 🤔 Glad I found your video again and will re visit your content. Ty. 😊

What do you use for front tires? I need to replace some old tires front and back.

rather depends on the wheel. if its a stock carrera wheel or what. you can get stock front tires for carrera. you generally want a tire with limited grip. NSR and slot.it have limited and zero grip tires. you just have to measure the wheel and look for one that fits. measure the diameter of the wheel (with and without the rib), rib height, rib width and total wheel width and then just match that.

Question regarding the insert adapter for 3/32 axles? If the wheel grub screw keeps the adapter secure in the wheel, what keeps the wheel secured to the axle? Thanks in advance.

The adapters are very thin walled themselves. The pressure of the grub screw pinches the adapter to the axle.
