Another benefit of low volatility machines is that you usually cycle your money through more which helps earn comps and tier status, besides just making your bankroll stretch longer. One type of machine I usually do well on are ones where you must play max bet to be eligible for progressives and/or says you get better odds for the higher credit wagers. I always seem to hit mini, minors and majors fairly regularly on these types of machines.

@@LightWarriorShamrock Not sure what type you're looking for, low volatility or the games where you need a minimum bet to be eligible for progressives. Low volatility games would be games like Double Diamonds, Triple Stars, blazing 7's....Basic simple games without big multipliers (< 3x's), progressives or bonus games. Games where you must bet a certain amount or max to be eligible for progressives would be games like Diamond Rain, Crazy Money II and Money Rain. Low volatility games are harder to identify because you need to know what you're looking for. The other games I mentioned will have it somewhere in the game rules or on the machine that there is an advantage to betting a certain amount. Of the two I recommend looking for low volatility games. The others I would cation to only bet what is needed if it fits your budget. These are still higher volatility games. You're just giving yourself a bigger advantage over the players that don't bet enough.

In my opinion in depends what you’re actually trying to achieve by playing slots. If you think you’re going to make money playing slots you’re almost certainly wrong, so when I play slots I just assume I’m going to lose. I do it just for fun. Maybe the “old school” slots might give me a slightly better chance of winning but I find them about as interesting as watching paint dry. Call me an idiot, but I like the fancy slots with all the lights and sounds and bonuses. They might take my money faster, but I don’t gamble much and when I do I gamble responsibly and have a budget.

Buffalo and Wheel Of Fortune are the luckiest to me. I let my energies draw me to one of these slot machines. After 20 mins of walking around, I will find the right one, put $100 in, hit max bet, and see what happens. If it hits on the first bet then I'll stay playing but if it doesn't hit on the first max bet I will cash out and try a different one. From my experience if I don't hit on the first max bet and I keep playing I will lose all my money. You tell how the slot is a random # generator. I believe that you have stated that it constantly generates random #s and the number you get, that determines payout or not is determined by whatever number is generated the moment you hit the play button. If that is the case, if you are in a losing streak with a machine, instead of going to another machine, would it also make sense to sit tight on the same machine to allow enough random #s to cycle back to some winners ( delay in play), or am I missing something?

Only one time I hit pretty good on 3 machines consecutively,, it was at Twin Rivers in R.I. I only had 200 left and I cursed myself as I was sitting on a bench in the lobby, as I was about to leave. You do realize that most of those “content providers” edit their videos to make it look like they win all the time. The reality of slots is everyone loses over the long haul. These extreme high limit players do win huge jackpots often but they lose a lot more than they win. When you’re betting $50 a spin or more, you will hit a lot of jackpots. They can push configuration changes to machines, but it sits in a queue until a tech is physically at the machine, gaming unseals the machine, and the tech inserts an elevated USB to accept the change. Most people that talk about server controlled slots leave that part out.

Always keep in mind that the payback percentage is over the course of the machines life and different machines will take different paths in order to achieve that. You could have two machines said at 92%… But one will give more frequent wins, while the other may have longer periods of dead spins, and only pay out a few large Jackpots during its life.

He’s basically saying that the high volatility machines are more unpredictable. They do give bigger wins but your chances of getting those wins are smaller. Generally machines with smaller highest jackpots are lower volatility as well. A $500 jackpot doesn’t sound as exciting as a $10,000 jackpot but you might actually win the $500 jackpot and have a very small chance of winning the bigger one. Some linked games have insane jackpots of $100,000, sometimes a million or more. Your chance of winning these are almost zero. It can happen but they’re there to entice players to spend money to feed those jackpots.
