Great video,i have Airfix slot car track and cars since my Dad came home from work with it in 1964,paid for with money from cigarette cards! Akermann steering,grippy track surface,cars superior to Scalextric.Absolute slot car pioneering.

First edition cars with no glass, no chrome and coloured rims. Nice to see them in action.

Yes, first edition. I like Airfix, it is nice to drive and gives me a good feeling.

I had this many years ago, with the Cooper and Ferrari. I remember their big selling point being “Ackerman steering” although I recall spending most of the time replacing the cars on the track.

This is so cool track looks way more sturdy then any afx ho teackscars look good in this scake wonder how they would do on a full size modern 1/32 scake track

I like the old Airfix-track very much. I can recomend an old Airfix-set for fun driving.

@@jebbern Yes!,my Airfix track and cars run sweetly still,60 years of joy.I have restored so many cars over the years.They run beautifully on my modern Policar track also.
