I’ve just started playing through Netflix, and I haven’t seen any adds so it may already be built in to this version? There is also no option to spend real-world money - which I really appreciate! :)

It looks like a lot of elements that would have been ad-gated are run on PlayerPoints (earned by playing a certain amount of of time each day - broken down into small chunks). I haven’t watched all of your videos in this playlist yet, but it could be an interesting video to compare the Netflix version with the regular version. I was watching Netflix on my iPad. When I clicked on Cats & Soup from within the Netflix menu (the usual app image but with a small red Netflix ‘N’ in the corner), it went to download this version of the game on my device. An ‘idle’ game like this is a good accompaniment to watching streaming content, so it makes sense. I haven’t tried watching Netflix and playing on the same device at the same time yet though. Anyway, could be an interesting option to explore and compare in a video. 😊
