If you’ve ever ridden a horse before side to side to another horse you will understand that horses like a challenge. They will race each other on their own. The reason I’m saying this is because I saw some comments saying people is wrong for doing this. If you pay attention you will see how the owner gives the beautiful horse strength by telling it to keep going. Anyways... that’s an amazing horse. Such a beautiful creature.

John Smith For one: Something can be in good shape and still be abused. The horse could be hit, or downright beaten but it wouldn’t be obvious unless under close inspection. Also, they have to be kept in shape in order to be able to compete well. Doesn’t mean they are actually “loved”. Two: Just because an animal was bred to do something doesn’t automatically mean they love it or want to do it. Their bodies were made for it, but what about their minds? Three: A horse can seem eager to do something simply from repetition. They were taught what to do and have done it so much that it hot wires them to try to get it done as fast as possible. Some horses actually go crazy (not the good kind) because of it. They get jittery, jumpy, don’t respond well, etc. This is especially the case with horses who don’t have other options of mental stimulation. Four: Most dogs don’t need to be taught to catch things like frisbees and balls. In fact, just the other day, one of my dogs started chasing after a frisbee without me having ever taught him to do so. Horses have to be taught to pull. Now, I’m not saying this is abusive. I can’t speak for the horse and say that they enjoy it or don’t, but I do believe that it should be taken into account that the horse might hate it. They should make sure the horse has other forms of mental stimulation and I hope to the gods that they don’t keep them in stalls most of the time. After all, if something goes wrong, it’s usually the horse who’s put at risk the most, and they’re the ones that never asked to be put at risk.
