Hi Helena, great video! I am thinking of doing the first 160 km of the Slovenian Mountain Trail this summer. Is the climb to the plateau (at the beginning of this video) doable without a via ferrata kit?

Hi! Yes, the beginning is definitely possible. There are some steel cables but I don’t think they’re actually meant for a via ferrata kit. You can hold on to them. It’s not an easy hike but I think if you’re fine with some exposure it’s fine!

Great work, but it did leave a bitter sweet feeling watching the parts after Korošici that I missed. I know how bad the weather will continue to get, you definitely need to do the PCT next year. I only got slight wet 3 times in 98 days!!!!
