Hey Marty! I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I recently lost my dad a few months ago. I wanted to find an escape. I’ve always wanted to play guitar. I bought a guitar HSS like you recommended and playing helped take my mind off of what was going on. Your videos really helped me to play music that I love. My wife and I just had our first baby girl and now I’m playing to her. She is my pride and joy! I’ve never would have learned to play if it wasn’t for your great videos. From all my heart to you, thank you Marty!

If you’re learning these concepts for the first time try and get it down because it’s immensely important and will help you improve quickly! It’s important to remember you can change the key and do the same thing anywhere on the neck you just have to bar in place of the nut.

The Gilmour effect. Slow, beautiful melodic blues scales. He says he wasn't blessed with speed but I've seen him do some pretty fast runs and fills. But I love me some David Gilmour. Can't wait to get off work and go over all these. Your channel is perfect for me. Thanks!

I'll take melodic rock music, blues, jazz, pop...heck, I'll even take pop country, over virtuositic shredding any day. David Gilmour made a decent livin' from melodic guitar playing.
