Going all the way back to Marcy’s song, “I’m Just Your Problem”, it makes me realize how much her and PB’s relationship matured over time. I think the Arc where PB was dethroned was probably the best example of them finally using really clear communication to express their feelings. Then you have, “Slow Dance With You”, where Marcy is becoming super honest with her feelings. Man, I love this show.

Imma just rant about different cartoons for a little cause that’s what my little mentally unstable self is obsessed with Adventure time: adventure time was probably one of the best cartoons I had ever watched, showing appreciation for the lgbt, different races, and body shapes and not making a big deal out of them. The development of Finn’s relationships with Flame Princess is literal perfect, how he learns that he was being kind of toxic by manipulating flame princess so he could have a dream he liked. And he learned from it and actually fixed his mistake. And the course of Marceline and BP is just *insert amity wow*. They had actual background and chemistry, unlike all the ‘oh you’re gay im gay now we’re the only love interest we could possibly have for each other through the whole series’. The fact that the writers let them experience actual emotions and heart break is really something to adore. The show really represented different personality types without telling kids it weird to be different and didn’t restrict the characters to one category. Steven Universe: this is one of the most gorgeous cartoons I’ve ever watched. Steven going through so much problems after his mother left and showing how all the other gems were affected by it. They gave the characters backbones and flavor. The character development throughout the show is absolute perfection. Amethyst learning she wasn’t a mistake and she has purpose, she isn’t just a ‘defect’. Pearl coming to terms with her loss and learning she doesn’t have to be perfect. Garnet being a whole relationship where the other half’s learned from each other and embraced every little detail about each other. Connie learning to not be a stiff robot, and actually express herself. Steven figuring out he doesn’t have to deal with all of his mother’s mess alone. Hell, even the side characters had development, like connie’s parents learning to let thief daughter have her freedom and coming to terms with the fact that she’s gonna change. This show tackles actual problems and showcases mental illness the right way. Star vs. the forces of evil: I love this show, from the bottom of my heart. The development of Marco and Star’s relationship. The characters having actual problems and reasons for the way they act. Star always being herself. Honestly there’s nothing to NOT love about this show. I can’t express how much I love it. Atla: This show, THIS SHOW, this show is the ‘that bitch’ of all cartoons. Zuko having one of THE best character arches in cartoon history, learning that he was being the bad guy and ‘finding his own destiny’. Aang coping with the loss of his people and becoming one of the greatest avatars of all time. Korea moving on from her mother. Sokka’s huge character development from season 1 onward. Toph being one of the greatest of her people despite having a disability most people today struggle with. Iroh going from a war general into only wanting what was best for his nephew after loosing his son. Azula actually have a backbone for her character type. All of the characters together make me want to cry from how much this show has taught me. The owl house: despite only having 1 season this show will only continue to get better from the next season on. Amity learning to have actual feeling and that she wasn’t alone. Willow’s growth from a shy timid girl who expresses how she feels. Gus just being himself and just having my heart. Luz accepting she is who she is and doesn’t have to change that for anyone. Eda and Lilith coming together as sisters and leaving the past behind them. This show is a great show that I’m happy other kids today will be able to grow up with. This was my little rant about my top 4 or 5 cartoons, I really love cartoons if you couldn’t tell already
