Well explained! The answer was obvious to me, based on (mumble) decades in electronics, but going into that level of detail, and mixing theory with demonstration, is very helpful for those just learning electronics and/or physics, and encourages thought and further study.

Excellent, clear explanation. Can i ask, what data logger are you using?

A rather old data harvest one. They now do Bluetooth sensors and have free app for apple android or windows.

The difficulty is that the black leads for the voltage sensors and current sensors must all be connected in the same place (between bulbs 3 and 4). This means the voltage across the 3 bulbs comes out negative but the software can correct that for you.
