That's the stomach. When fish are caught in deep water, gasses in their stomach and swim bladder expand as they approach the surface. There is not enough space in their body cavity so the stomach comes out the mouth.

What hook size you use for 80g jig? For single hook and for double hooks. Thanks
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 5 жыл бұрын
Hi, We use up to 4/0 for 80g jigs. Normally we are using double hooks for slow jigging. I would say 3/0, 4/0 is alright for 80g of jig.

Hi The VMC 7117 hooks rust the next day, Any tips to stop it from rusting so fast
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 9 жыл бұрын
+jparryprodeal Hi Parry, the PTFE coating is such to enable the hook to penetrate very quickly (feels a little bit more sleek) but the downside as you mentioned, corrodes rather easily. One way is to avoid scratching the coating too much (e.g. when de-hooking fish, tying on the vide, etc)

Those are not slow jig specific rod right
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 8 жыл бұрын
No the Kaiten is not a slow jigging spec rod. It's more of an all-round jigging rod
@lansiman
@lansiman 8 жыл бұрын
+Fish On! TV i notice storm produce slow jigging spec rod too, but i don't feel like investing into too many kinds of tackle, is there any shortfall of using all rounder rod like kaiten for slow fall technique?
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Allah Turbo, you are correct. The Kaiten is more of an all-round versatile jigging rod. It can be used for speed jigging or slow-style jigging. While the taper is not the specific slow jigging spec, it can work slow-style jigs well. If you prefer a specific slow-jigging rod, the Storm Gomoku Adajo will be the one to check out :)

Hello nigel. Great video and awesome tips. Can you suggest me at least how long our rod should be to fish like this? And also where is this place with good fish in lumut, planning to go fishing with some friends this weekend. I'm an amateur 😊
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 9 жыл бұрын
Karthikesan Sakthivelu Hi Karthikesan, we're replying on behalf of Nigel. You can try to contact the local fishing captain Mr Faizal 0135966448. He can bring you and your friends out. We normally fish with Storm Gomoku Kaiten PE1-3, which is about 6ft long, a good compromise between working Storm Koika jigs and fighting/landing big fish. Hope the info helps!

BTW, whats that pink thing in the mouth?
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 9 жыл бұрын
Zheng Han Lim that's the Storm Gomoku KOIKA jig.
@MrBelgretor
@MrBelgretor 7 жыл бұрын
if you're talking about the fish on the right at 6:12, the pink thing is the expanded stomach of the fish. after fish have been pulled up quickly from deep water, the change in pressure causes the swimbladder of the fish to expand fast, pushing its innards out.

Wanchana Jitradab Hello Mr Wanchana, you can actually try the smaller version of the Storm Koika jig. The 20g, 40g are equally as effective on shallow water.

Hi Fred, If you are reading this I hope U can send some nice T-shirt, like the Red colour and the black colour that nigel wears to Sincere. If you have other design I like to buy too. But I do not prefer the normal cotton T-shirt type. I do not know what that material is called. I told Sincere that the red one that I bought yesterday has a defect at the back, It was not machines properly and there is a little hole just below the back collar. Thks Parry
