I've just recently been collecting childhood favorite books that I never read when I was younger. I purchased my daughter the Little House set because over the course of half-a-year we sat and watched the whole series as a family. Those were precious times. And I just purchased Anne of Green Gables. The Velveteen Rabbit IS a childhood favorite I actually did read and hang on to. Little Women just may be next!

It is a battle for us all I am sure, and you are not alone. It bothers me when I find myself needing to know where the phone is. It takes a consistent and concerted daily effort (and prayer) to break the habit, but it is possible. Imagine a world totally free of the enslavement to it... amazing. I found this quote from one of Laura Ingalls books: “'These times are too progressive. Everything has changed too fast. Railroads and telegraphs and kerosene and coal stoves - they're good to have but the trouble is, folks get to depend on 'em. '” ... oh If she only knew.

You can search for used or vintage linen nightdress and cotton bloomers online or in consignment shops. There are stores on etsy who hand make them new, but it will cost more. I would search for long sleeve linen night dress and see If anything used or on sale pops up. Happy searching!

As always, a lovely video. ❤️ So like the Lord...I was just watching “Little Women” a few minutes ago. I don’t believe I’ve read the book. If I have, it’s been decades. I’d love to try to find it and read it, as well as the Little House Books. ❤️ I did look for them, but they were quite pricey. I’ll have to check some other sources. 😊 Your love of, and experience with, growing things has inspired me so much! May I ask what plant you were tying, to hang to dry? It looked a lot like dill, but I don’t think it was. If it’s one of your medicinal/tea herbs, would you mind telling me what it is, and what it’s used for? I have finally been well enough to try to plant and grow a few things this spring. 🙌 (...seventh year...that may have a deeper meaning...) I have no experience with growing things. (We were on the mission field most of my adult years during which I could’ve learned things like that from my daddy. He’d gotten too old to have a garden by the time we moved back.) But, I do have bee balm and lemon balm looking pretty good! Don’t laugh, but I don’t know how to use the bee balm. Well, either really. I believe the lemon is for tea? Does it have benefits? I had a Capresi salad for dinner with my basil, and I put my fresh rosemary in the oil. So fresh and delicious! I actually dried some blackberry leaves for tea. Wild blackberries just popped up in our back yard, so we put up a small trellis for them! I’ve heard that as tea, it’s very tasty. They said that it’s good for diarrhea, so one shouldn’t overdo it, unless they need it for that purpose. A dear man in Czechoslovakia made me a bag of blended herbs and such, absolutely full, of his “tea”. He had heard that I liked it when it was served at the little church service there. Such a dear and probably sacrificial gift. ❤️ It was delicious! It had blackberry leaves in it, but I don’t remember what else. I had to leave most of it when we came back stateside, as it wouldn’t have made it through customs. I gifted it to a missionary friend who stayed there. My mint is surviving, finally...third try. 🙌 (As you can see, my thumbs are not particularly green. Ha!) And I’ve got Thyme and Rosemary growing on a slope in the back yard. I think they prefer to be neglected! Ha! I continue to lift you up before the Lord as your broken heart heals. Grief is such a difficult thing...we go back and forth through the stages, leaving us feeling a bit unsteady at times. Thankfully, His arms are always there to catch us...and carry us, when need be. He’s so tender with us. He knows how hard it is...He never intended for us to have to experience grief. He understands. But, in the end...death does NOT win! Praise God! We WILL be reunited one day. We will. I never got to experience my Daddy in Christ, for he only surrendered to Him the night before he could no longer speak to us, in hospice. So, I look with great desire to the day I’ll see him...a new creation! He was a tender, loving man. He loved my mother more than I can express. Everyone liked him. He battled alcoholism, and that made things very hard at times...and my mother seemed bitter, at times, as she walked with her heart broken. But, Daddy no longer battles the enemy. And mother found her way to forgiveness before she crossed over, hallelujah! It will all be good one day. All. I love you, dear Sister. And you will continue to heal...a bit at a time. Some days will be more difficult, but the joy will return...increasingly more along the way. Laughter will fill the air around you more and more... Just rest...and trust. You can trust Him. His lovingkindness is beyond measure. With so very much love, Jacqui
