Love the curtains❤️I’ve been obsessed to listening to the homemakers podcast from your suggestion. It’s so good, love listening to how everyone’s way of home making can be different depending on your situation and there isn’t a checklist that makes you a home maker! Love hearing different approaches

I am loving hearing your journey with reducing your phone/social media consumption it’s so inspiring to me. I’m a single mum and I find that it’s a life line to connection especially when I’m having a challenging day with my toddler, I always reach for my phone for them few moments of escapism. I’m stuck in such a negative cycle with it!

We can’t strive for perfection but just progression. Taking steps slowlyyyy. I always remind myself that even me being interested and passionate about learning more (even if I’m not yet implementing it) is still progression and a step forward! It helps build your desire for what you want and when you make those first moves it’s all helpful 😊 It’s definitely hard to break. It’s been made to be so addictive like casinos or something. Literally an addiction!

I’m also a person who prefers to sew by hand, basically anything I make is sewn by hand- aprons, skirts, corset tops, toys... I just find it so soothing and fun to figure out how to do it

You really have grown so much in the most beautiful way, you’re happy and becoming who God wants you to be. Also showing your boys what homemaking really is, what a harmonious relationship looks like & what a happy marriage feels like 🤎🤎🤎All things i am working on as well😊

The fabric that you chose for the kitchen is exactly the curtains I want but a deep blue instead of green. I LOVE patterns like that, they look so homey and traditional

I know exactly what your talking about!! Grants grandma has a print very similar but like pilgrims and wagons and stuff and it’s a red print over cream!! I’ve seen blue and I love! Eek

It sounds weird but one thing my parents did is we spent most of our time outside and with very little tech in Eastern Africa, where I grew up. But when we started watching more television my parents used to encourage us to watch the older tv shows and watch the video tapes. I didnt understand it at the time, but now that im older I have spoken to it about my mum and she said it was because the older tv shows were less overwhelming and stimulating, but also the act of putting in a tape into the video player meant you would have to rewind to watch it, or take the time when you were done to do that and it would slow down our living as kids, but also move us away from the idea that things come and happen instantly when we want them. I intend to one day have my kids have both videos and the streaming platforms but focus on the older tapes and shows to help slow down the tv time they do get.

I have always done the house plan thing with the families. I used to think about names that would go well with the whole family and what jobs I thought would be cool for the parents to do

SAME! Okay I need to share my little mind in KZbin shorts then!! When I was young I’d always wonder if anyone else did that!!!

If I wasn't so much older than you, I would think we were twins separated at birth. LOL Because I literally do something very similar in remodeling and redecorating houses in my head picturing how a family will live and all the details. It is so therapeutic.

VERY! I have always my whole life wondered if others do that!!!!! It’s so fun
