this is so accurate. I honestly got chills watching this and it made me think to the inovations star wars made in 1977 and how impossible it seamed. This really has the same effect of seaming like it has to be CGI but its not and thus so real looking that it completly suspends our disbelief and captures us. I want to see a new space film inspired by OG star wars methods and this technique that seems like it MUST be tons of CGI but is instead just masterfully crafted shots with real practical effects and props. It would be 1977 all over again

Honestly, in the wide tracking shots, this setup allowed me to focus more on Gav and the "human" element of the scene. It's interesting since we never really see him in shots.
