C.H. Doyle, for all us non slow pitch jiggers out there, what action do the jigs have underwater? Would be cool maybe to get a video of the different types of action for different jigs/jigging techniques. Some scuba gear and a gopro

@JohnnyJigsTV Thanks for the suggestion, that seemed like a phun time. Maybe a Phish or GD themed jigs in the future? Maybe a split open and melt, theme from the bottom, a direwolf, or an acid test rainbow. Keep up the grate work and keep on keeping on stealing phishy faces.

I'd buy a SYF johnnyjig. Red one side, blue the other, with a top and bottom 13 point bolt.

I used to slay salmon and perch from lake Michigan harbor shores from the breaker blocks with a red blue little cleo. Please tell me you got a johnnyjig to replace those cleos.

You can but slow jigging is definitely a conventional game.

So my set up right now is a Daiwa Saltiest on a Tsunami XH 7'6" (works great!) I am going to upgrade a Phenix rod I hardly use with one of Phenix's Titan series slow-pitch rod and pair it with an Ocea Jigger. I am torn between the TJX-63MH 6′3"125-55lb 150-350g or the TJX-68MH 6′8″25-55lb 150-350g. There is a 5 inch difference between the two and also the price is greater with the 6'8". what would be best if my depth range is 200ft to 400ft and does the extra 5 inches make a difference no pun intended lol.
@JohnnyJigsTV4 жыл бұрын
I would go for the 6'8" I would imagine it will give you better action. 5" is a big deal to a guy like me 😂😂

Love to get all 3 rods the E1-E3 but I am poor can you recommend one rod that can handle 100grams to 400grams jigs which cost under $500 so I can pair with my Shimano ocea jigger 1500HG reel. Thanks

I fish on west coast and fish in depths from 60-400ft but mostly in 100-200. I use mainly 100-200 gram jigs. What weight rod do you recommend a 1 or 2? Can a 2 weight rod fish a 100 gran jig decently?
@JohnnyJigsTV4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I would definitely go with the two being that you have such a big range in depth. I would consider picking up a 1 at some point and carrying both.
