Hey Jon, Usually we start from the bottom and work our way up. Once we figure out there depth we will count our line color as a gauge to drop only to that depth. Each color = 30'

Hi Modern Family Fishing, I use a 20-30# test 8 strand J-braid with 12' of either 40 or 50# fluorocarbon leader. Welcome 😁

Hey Jay, I have used spot lock and it works great some times. Its a hefty chunk of change to purchase but definitely would be a great option to have while jigging.

Having an issue with brand new 30# power pro snapping jigging 100-160 gram jigs only 30’ or so under the boat in 100’ of water. Any idea what’s going on?🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

What connection are you using for your fluoro to power pro?

@@JohnnyJigsTV I’m using an FG knot to the 40# flouro. The first time, I was in 85’ of water and working the jig just off the bottom. The line went slack. I reeled maybe 5-10 cranks and saw the end of the braid. Then again in almost 100’ of water, same thing. Wasn’t sure if you guys have had any issues with toothy critters attacking your line in the clear Florida waters. Plenty of schools of Spanish in the area.
