Nop, even with given power, if you notice when they are about to punch each another, Broly slow down due to watching Goku in his head. If it wasn't for that (a cheap plot device) Broly would hit first or at worst they would hit at same time, Goku would die from that hit for sure, while Broly will be just temporarily defeated.

I know I'm old, but the story behind some of the movies is a lot less... good than the series itself. I'll admit the soundtrack and character design are so much cooler, but that's because movies have a much larger budget and can afford more to put in. That's why now the movie Battle of Gods looked a LOT more fluid and welldone than the Dragon Ball Super arc. Budgets in a single movie as opposed to the hundreds of episodes in the series just isn't a fair comparison.
