You are such an inspiration. I plan to stitch all the little birds and put into a journal along with flowers and all things nature. This weekend I’m working on my granny stripe blanket as I’ve had the beautiful yarn from Willow & Lark for years! Also cooking a simple sausage casserole for dinner tonight and will be making a roast chicken dinner for Sunday. I wantto start my hand stitching again - embroidery, cross stitch and EPP along with machine sewing for my little Etsy shop. Can’t wait for the slow stitching episode. Lesley x

My weekend plans include stitching a hand sewn pocket from the pattern by KZ Stevens. I have so far heat bonded some circles of fabric to the calico I am using to make the pocket, I have embroidered around these and made them into flowers with stems (thank you for the tip on using split stitch for these). Hopefully I will start sewing to pocket together tomorrow. It’s such a slow and restful project.

Your slow stitching is so beautiful! For the little box pouch, do you make the pouch first and add the collaging afterwards, or do you create the collaged fabric first then sew it into a pouch? I’m quite tempted to try making one!

Hi Joanne :) - I do the collage first, having decided on the size I need for the pouch, then I construct the pouch. Such a relaxing thing to do and the little pouch always makes me smile whenever I use it xx
