This reminds me of a client I had at the tax office I was working at. His wife had cancer and passed away during the pandemic. He took one of her lacy, purple, bras and had a facemask made out of it. It was great!

Yes Yes Yes to shopping our closets and drawers……nifty bird ideas ….yes please more birds…..opening closer to the tummy makes sense for stuffing…….yes underwear here on the PNW of the States……knickers sounds so much more FUN…

I couldn't stop giggling watching this! I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only one who gets silly when I'm crafting! Love the balls, but I really like the bird! I went and found the video you linked, but I think your bird was better, a much better shape, and the embroidery was a great idea! (Maybe a little desk lamp would have helped the black fabric?) You are my go to for an afternoon cuppa, settle in and learn a few tricks. Love you, Annie! You are fearless and funny! (I'll be digging in the knicker drawer for black birds, lol!)

Brilliant! Unfortunately, my old underwear is not only black, but it's sensible, too. But I do have a lot of old lace, and on Tuesday I found a nice shiny table runner in the charity shop which I've nearly finished unpicking. Also, my fabric stash is enormous, so I am planning to spend Saturday making pretty things 😊

I'm not sure my drawers are suitable for upcycling, but I'll have a rummage through the knicker drawer... Really like the blackbird. If you're making four & twenty, then you'll need to make a pie too! With a removable pastry lid so you can see all the birds nestling inside, ready to fly out. 🐦

Hellooo! New sub from USA! I love these! I have a bunch of skivvies to go through and get rid of so this is a great idea! Also, I use plastic bag material as stuffing, also... You can stuff it loosely for the crunchiness or tight with no noise at all.
