I imagine the crayon-drawn patches would be cute Xmas tree ornaments; sewn in round shape, beaded, quilted, etc. If done with lightweight materials [front patch, stabilizer, and a backing piece so it wasn't too heavy for the tree branches] could be neat. Daniela, that would be a fun project video for this holiday season to use up some patches! lol

You can iron the fabric to warm the fabric beforehand and it accepts the crayon better. It goes deeper into the fabric. You can iron it between layers, too, and still blend the colors. Then finish it off with a final ironing. The colors aren't totally permanent, they do come off a bit with washing. I wouldn't use this on something that might need repeated washings. They can be touched up a bit but the embroidery might make it tougher. I've used this on banners and throw pillows. I never thought to embroider the drawings...good idea. Can't wait to try this. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on using the iron on fabric, first. Good to know that the color fades with washing. Love the idea of using this technique on banners & throw pillows.Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge.

FIRST OF ALL CAN YOU WASH YOUR WORK AFTER YOU FINISH.YOUR PIECE OR NOT PLEASE LET US ALL KNOW0
@DanielaMellen5 ай бұрын
You can wash your work, if you have ironed it as shown in the video. Over time, the colors may fade, and can be redone, with more coloring and ironing.
