@@FutureTechPilot Problem is, it's not private. The images are held forever on Discord, even when you use X, and forever on the MJ servers. And MJ reserve the right to use them as they wish, saying only that they will 'try' not to!

Yeah I want a good 3d image open source app that you can download on your own device without censorship, Thats why I canceled my Midjourney subscrition , I'm tired of having to pay for everything and owning nothing

Agree with most of the comments that they should stop faffing around with rooms and community focus. They asked us to rate ideas and have a leaderboard which they should take a look at. They are still aesthetically the best AI image creator but really need some outside investment so they can push ahead on what their paying customers view as priorities

David seems to view the "community" through rose-colored-glasses. There is no community. There are a loose collection of Midjourney users, some who are friendly and cooperative, but most are just out for personal satisfaction by making some pretty pictures. It is easy to see this if you look in the current rooms where there is little interaction by the "community".

taking a break from MJ until these guys are done tinkering in the lab. the UI and interaction work is super important for them and how they want to scale I know but not insanely engaging for me. the conversation surrounding world simulation though is absolutely tantalizing and I am here for it. =) thanks for the recap!

I know this is not the right place, but I would like to see more understanding of image composition. Currently, it's very weak from my perspective. It's hardly possible to input perspectives well, and it takes forever to find a good composition. Efforts should be made to make the program more professional for storyboards and similar uses. Another wish, which might not be shared by everyone, is to remove some of the Safe Filters. This restriction greatly limits storytelling. A simple button to generate private images and another to create public images would suffice for me. I don't understand all these room functions. But David probably isn't reading this anyway.

haha I agree with the image composition part, it's definitely hard to control the 'camera' but I think that will improve in the future! But I wouldn't hold my breath for any removal of filters

3D is the way to go if Midjourney has simulated worlds , that let you can pose in any camera Direction. Like the way Dreams PS5 works

Many thanks for the recap again! Even if the content is once again somewhat disappointing. I just don't understand where MJ's focus lies. Seriously on these strange rooms that only a small minority - if any - find useful or meaningful? Why the hell are they so obsessed with it? Video and 3D are also completely useless to me, but I can at least understand why many users want that. But there are so many other features that are not in demand but where a lot of energy is put into. What's the point of the leaderboard and micro polls if they keep seting their priorities elsewhere? I mean, it's their platform, so they can decide for themselves - but then they shouldn't keep asking users what they want! I have no desire whatsoever to switch to another platform, having familiarized myself well with MJ and having already paid my subscription for the whole year.... but I'm thinking about switching more and more often.

I know you're just venting - but maybe I can explain their motivation a little. I think it comes down to making sure new users have a place to ask for help and talk to other people. Like, soon you won't need Discord to sign up for MJ, so they don't want those people to feel completely alone
