Skateboarding is one of the few sports that's as fun to watch as it is to do
@jamesstortz9368 жыл бұрын
Ah, I wish I was good enough at it to say that. I hate it, but I can only do flat ground tricks and it's weird cause I can only do what everyone else can't --laser flips, impossibles, and the worst, heelflips. haha I'm literally so bad at skateboarding that I'm good.

never been a huge fan on Huston, but its obvious he is rated on a whole other scale than all the other skaters. He fits in almost 2x as many tricks as everyone else but one fall and he goes down to a 7.0?

congrats on p-rod for taking the win. i was super excited to see one of my faves win again. he has been in the game for a long time now and knows how contests go. whether you think he got lucky or not, i believe he deserves this win. i don't believe sls is to see who is the best skater in the world. it is to see who can mentally do their best skating at a specific place and in a specific course. p-rod did a lot of switch tricks which are very difficult. the swich nollie heelflip out of the rail was a trick one would normally take many tries to land. anyways, i would love to see p-rod and chris cole in many more sls contests. as far as the announcers, geoff rowley is my favorite cuz he knows his shit (street skating)and is just a very good announcer. just my opinion.

Rodriguez is too humble. He earned his prize through hard work, I don't think god had that much to do with it.
@TheRickyp838 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's very humble to think that there's this creator of the universe who goes out of his way to help you with petty bullshit things like winning a skateboard contest all the while kids all over the world are being raped or starving to death. Pretty sure that's arrogant and self centered to think you're that special, not humble.
@Xristophero8 жыл бұрын
That would apply if the same value were not applied to each and every human being abiding in His will. Does a lion self-identify as arrogant for ruling over the jungle? Does the spider think itself arrogant when it traps a plain house bug as its meal? I don't agree that God builds up the empires of skateboarders, but I do believe that God can use anything for His purpose. How many children are inspired to persevere in their faith when they hear their role model exalt His faith in a world of mockery?

The more I watch the past and present SLS video's and see the comments about judges always over scoring Nyjah and the hate, the more I think people are actually just bias against him. If you really analyze it, he flows through every line with nearly double the tricks landed than most riders and tricks that have a large difficulty gap. Only O'Neil, Oliveira and Joslin throw down nearly as many tricks, but Nyjah never stops and keeps on the board the whole time. Imo, the judges are pretty sober in their scoring of him
