Seems like a common thing in skating. If you're not confident on a trick and think you're going to get hurt, chances are you'll get the expected results.

Wish that was the case but strongly doubt it. They don’t compensate them if they get hurt during the real SLS so they def aren’t gonna do it if he hurts himself playing some off to the side game

Love this funny and relaxed style of skateboarding competition. Next time, try scooter toss instead of deck toss, it is more familiar for us, skaters 😂 But of course, better do it outside to take care of concrete surface. Not too late but while our brain's developing we can learn a lot quicker. We can still learn to skate as we're older it's just a little harder and takes more repetition. It's worth it though. Skating is extremely fun and satisfying. Just don't set your expectations too high and you'll love it.

I'm 36 this year and I'm able to do tricks I've never been able to do in my teens. I feel like skating as an adult has its benefits. I'm way more analytical and disciplined and so learning new stuff is actually a bit easier.
