SLUG SHARK - Episode 7

So I decided to go the extra mile and radius the entire roof of the car. Before doing the dash bar and coming forward to the top of the beam I raised the shell off the pan about 6" and 360 welded the entire roof of the cab cage. All my corners have radius corner guessets that look sick and make it more than legal for any series. INDUSTRIAL METAL SUPPLY once again with the SHREDDY account hook up that's up for grabs so anyone can use it and save about 20%. The front bumper was a pain in the ass yet I'm super super happy with it. Going to be strong and stout yet stylish and clean! New wraps revealed on the trailer and on the bug for 2020 thank you to Black Hat and all involved, Aaron and Matt, on the design ideas and Coastal Creative for installing them tits! Brake lines are in and the HOON HANDLE will remain in the car... more tricks on that to come! Machined my drums for the studs so they sit flat when pressed in. Full Throttle Battey found its home with a clean battery box. More empi parts have been ordered from the VW bible and the shell is locked down for good on the pan! Swift powdercoat came through and made these 51 year old wheels look rad with the Wilkey teal. So much more to do in such little time. The grind is real the time crunch is real and the desire to go race the MINT 400 for the first time ever is at an all time stoke! Cage work is beautiful, the idea of moving the B piller back makes a lot of sense now that I see it done. The front cage work is excellent, the bumper brace and all. WOW. I can’t wait for more work around the engine bay.

Cage bolts to back side of beam top and bottom, lower bumper support bolts to beam, upper bumper support is welded to factory bumper mounting cross bar that is bolt in, so at this point it's all still removable to replace beam. But then looks like the the factory bumper support is welded to the cage and I didn't see any couplers in there, so now the beam is no longer removable...? Am I seeing this right?

Hey Blake, I was wondering how you made your panels on the truck in ep.7. It looks like the bead rolled panels are fastened with zeus fasteners, but how did you get them flush with the panel? Pro Tip Hobo Frieght has a tool that can cut down & reflare those brakelines...... Slug Shark needs all the weight reduction she can get...... LOL

ANTHONY GUGLIELMO needed to get it done and I have a flaring tool I could have used but in person it doesn't look bad nor does it have any sort of flaw to the system. If it does snag anything though it allows it to have wiggle room. Weight on 2" of line isn't something I'm super worries about though.

That Class11 is funny. Double the weight of the car by putting in a cage tht makes a Stock Car cage look light,pushing it with 80 HP and call that a race. Oh ya in a car that is know not to be dependable.LOL
