I'm getting Portal vibes from this whole thing. Our narrator is a lot like GLaDOS in many aspects, and the other iterators in the end shot look like cores except the bottom left one, which looks more like the portal radio to me. We also have the common theme of "Organic messes up testing of dubious morality conducted by a powerful AI".

I'm really interested to see where the storyline goes. Who sent this Intruder, and what do they plan to do? Oh! While writing this, I watched the ending again. Is the Intruder communicating with those four core Iterators? My interpretation of this is that the Intruder shut off or rebooted the power to that sector of GLaDOS's can, allowing them to receive broadcasts (and further instructions?) without GLaDOS's knowledge. Also, here's my interpretation of what GLaDOS might be an acronym for as an Iterator: Gilded Lilies and Daunting Ocher Summits.

I'm gonna make my little side story here in the comments section Dispatch 35: soooo what's the big deal? Overwatch 1: don't you, see? these subjects are getting excessive testing and bodily mutations on them. they are even getting revived and injured several times which can severely impact their natural abilities. the only thing enhancing their abilities are gene implants making them stronger. Dispatch 35: I don't get the deal. these tests help us understand the limits of these complex creature behaviors. Overwatch 1: you really don't understand... Dispatch 35: ok so what do we do? are we gonna stop them? Overwatch 1: for now, we can only observe their tests. they regularly send out data files to share with civilians. something i have noticed in these files is a certain slugcat with a mask. look into that for me. Dispatch 35: ok I'll get to work then. wait what is that? Overwatch 1: what's the matter? Dispatch 35: it was... an overseer. I tried capturing it, but it zipped out of the room too fast. it might belong to this iterator we are studying. Overwatch 1: crap they now know... (I'm making this because I thought it would be fun so if you think its cringe keep it to yourself)
