i felt this on a spiritual level 😌 2002 I was in 7th grade, 2002 hands down funnest years of my life until 2003-2004, 8th grade was even more LIT & FUN AF! the fun just amplified. I somehow always sat next to The funniest kids EVER! Id go to classes i hated in a good mood just because I knew they'd be there so i kno ima laugh my ass off all day Lol. This song, This group brings back amazing, hilarious memories. I'd do anything to go back to middle school for 1min....good times

Actually it's Karriem Riggins. The biggest protege of Dilla... The chord changes that Karriem chopped up were from Billy Strayhorn's "Star-Crossed Lovers", which jazz pianist Geoff Keezer played them into Karriem's sampler during a soundcheck one day during their times as part of the Ray Brown Trio!
