This is awesome! Where are you going to use it and for how long? What vehicle will you be traveling in?

I also have this tarp and use pipe insulation noodles which already have a slit cut in them, run that along the edge of the tarp that is laying across my vehicle to protect from rubbing damaging the paint. It really is a fantastic piece of kit - you summarized it perfectly!

Thanks! We considered pipe insulation as well but then Target had pool noodles on sale. Basic economics, we went for the cheaper item. Lol. Pipe insulation would take up less room in our Plano boxes which is something to consider as well. How do you pack up your tarp for travel?

@@TheOrangeBandana Everything goes back in the original bags, but it fits perfectly in a plastic Walmart stacking container along with my car camping tent, sleeping bag. Have you had to treat yours with anything to keep it rain-proof?

@keletienne7947 So far this tarp has been keeping us dry without any treatments. We also keep ours in the original stuff sacks and then inside our Plano boxes. We stack our Plano boxes in the back of the truck and then strap them down with ratchet straps.

@@keletienne7947 finding the right containers is so key to staying organized while out camping! Plano bins have been working for us so far in the back of our Tacoma.

I have the same awning and agree with your points. I did replace the plastic guylines with some Gear Aid metal ones and I like it significantly better, but other than that everything is great. I also love that corkscrew stake and bungie idea, stealing that one!

@jupyder4838 Steal away!!! Sharing/stealing ideas on here is a great way to improve your camping experience. Can you tell us more about the Gear Aid replacement you incorporated? Gear Aid makes good stuff! The guy lines that come with this setup are adequate but....
