That's cool as long as you don't hate us. For thousands of years people in *every* culture on the planet have imagined animals on a more equal footing with humans via art, legends, fables, and tribal/religious rituals. Here in modern times cartoon characters and product/sports mascots fufill that need for most people--but furries feel that ancient, primal connection on a deep personal level and express it via our art and fursuits.

@@joestrike8537 It's safe to say we've all felt that way with our animals at one point with our lives. Not ashamed to say I would've died for any of my pets when I was growing up. But I guess it goes without saying that anthrophomorphism is a whole different category and context from what i've just mentioned. And while I do agree that animals have been a strong spiritual factor in many religions and supersticions throughout history.. comparing such beliefs to mere internet furries is almost ourageously ridiculous. Forgive my "ignorance", but comparing the sacred symbolism of the Egyptians, Natives, and Mayans, to Anime Furries is just.. i'm sorry. But you do you friend. I don't mean to offend or nag on anyone's beliefs. We're all human after all..... sort of.
