Yeah unlike sanzaru. They took away the characters silhouette appearance in the intro levels of sly one and three, didn’t synchronized the music properly during the Mz Ruby boss fight, and don’t get me started on what they did to Penelope in sly 4.

If it was released on both consoles at the same time it would most likely mean that the PS5 version would be a lot worse since PS5 is a lot more powerful than PS4 (pure transition from PS4 to PS5 is the cheapest and fastest option and thus the most likely one). I would personally like to see it get released on PS5 first and PS4 afterwards to guarantee the quality of both releases.

If Sly came back in 2022/2023 I'd lose it. I really wanted to play Thieves in Time, but the PS3 was way outside my budget back in the day. If Sly comes back in any sort of capacity, I'd be happy. I do hope that if Sly 5 is in production, they keep the story of Thieves in Time Canon rather than retconning it, or ignoring it altogether. Also, from the gameplay I've seen from 4, less quick time events. That felt like padding.

I hope he's coming back. But if he does I hope it's a NEW game and not another remake, remaster, "special edition", collection, etc. I think games like Rift Apart and It's About Time showed that people really do want NEW games in these older series. Not to mention the remakes of Medievil, Crash, Spyro, and Destroy All Humans were pretty awesome and successful. Plus, I still wanna see the Sly movie that was never released.

I wouldn't mind a from-the-ground-up remake of the original trilogy. But if it is a new game, I'd love to see Team Asobi giving the reigns. Astro's Playroom is incredible, and I think they can do great things with the series.

If Sumo is going to make a new Sly game, maybe, just maybe, Sumo could also make Sly Cooper costumes for Sackboy. And I'd also love to see Sly make a comeback someday. I know that Sucker Punch Productions already made Sly Cooper Trilogy like Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves for PS2 era,... and I know that Sanazaru Games already made only one Sly Cooper game: a 4th Sly game: Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time for PS3 era. 🙂 But now, a new game developer of PlayStation Studios called "Sumo Digital" is making Sly Cooper 5 for PS5 era???? Is this for real??? Is Sumo Digital developing Sly Cooper 5 for PS5 by PlayStation Studios???? Hmm,.... I don't know yet. I'm little bit confused and curious. I know it's not from 4chan. Wow yea don’t blame ya. Don’t forget that Sumo Digital did SackBoy A big adventure. It did well for reception wise. So yes I’m with ya I’m still hoping it’s coming out true myself. I'm only a huge fan of my five favorite childhood PlayStation games like Crash Bandicoot franchise, Spyro the Dragon franchise (both owned by Activision), Ratchet & Clank franchise, Jak and Daxter franchise and Sly Cooper franchise. Sumo is a good developer but I don't see the Sly Cooper brand been a good fit for them. That is my only concern if any plus they would need resolve thieves in time's ending and I think certain elements like the voice actors and peter McConnell won't be invited back if Sumo is in charge.

I’m afraid they’ll butcher sly. Ik they can upgrade the graphics and still keep the same person ya know. Make the fur and Movements look real but still sly, but for some reason companies can’t do that. They wanna change the character. The personality, looks. If they upgraded the original three games. Ray Tracing, Fur, the ability to go underwater as Bentley or Murray but. Not changing the character design. Change the voice actors. Make the performance more convincing. But don’t change the tone, the personality just improve it. But they can’t do that. They wanna change and forget to just improve. Some things aren’t broken to be fixed.

What is there really left to do with the franchise? You can have modern graphics and solid gameplay, but a Sly game without an involving serious story is just boring. I think that's why it's taking so long for Sly to come back, because the story reached its natural conclusion with Sly 3, and they don't want to make another fluff-piece like Thieves in Time. Otherwise Sly 5 would be a sure deal.

Then again I had this idea in my head for a while of Carmalita getting them to work as law enforcement contractors. All Sly Cooper fans will really want to see this game return and complete the story! It might be the very last game to complete the plot, but they can at least finish it with a great ending to this game! I’m def convinced that it will come back especially bc of the sly emblem in the Sony commercial. I am however nervous that the aesthetics and interface of the new sly game will be a f**k up like thieves in time. I want them to bring back the nostalgia of the sly games.
