wow, what kind of store owner is that? no integrity. the girl used her bag as a lien. unless the lien is not paid off in the 3 months as she promised, the bag technically still belongs to her and not the store owner; therefore, store owner does not have the right to sell the bag to anyone. Is there no such law in China? Even pawnshop has that rule: bring in item, get appraised, make transaction, writes/receives a receipt, come back with money and show receipt within time limit otherwise item belongs to pawnshop and they can do whatever they want with the item. FL should've had the owner write down something like a contract and each sign the paper with the friend as a witness. Totally can sue and win against store owner.

Riight. The story would have been perfect had it not been due to illogical, unnecessary, forced complications such as this. And was the female lead compensated for the difference between the amount that the unethical store owner/staff originally paid her, vs. the amount that she illegally sold the bag for? . But then of course, most viewers would just let it go, because of the overall appeal of the story. Shame on the scriptwriter and the director, though.

If you do watch the show you'd happen to find out that her family was behind on rent and she put a lien on the bag to help pay. The owner of the shop illegally sold the bag before the 3 month period was up. Don't criticize something if you've only seen 8 minutes worth
