Tough band! Love the funky sound that still rings true. Too bad people in America can't get along like the members of Sly's Band, diversity in musicianship, variety in instruments all making beautiful music together which draws EVERYDAY PEOPLE together. Thank God for musicians who can get past gender and skin color to bring the World 🌍 Harmony if only for hours at a time. Enjoy the Concert Y'all 😊❤🎉

His lyrics are moving and truthful. Good GOD almighty we are lucky and blessed to be breathing and alive the same time he’s been here on this planet . And if I’m lucky enough to meet the LORD? I will thank him for the fortunate luck of that . After all ,we could have come before SLY or after him . Take care everyone and stay kool . Joey in Pennsylvania

A brilliant flash across the sky, then it's gone! Such is the sad story of Sly Stone. I've loved him and his music for well over fifty years, and it was a damn shame to see him fall so far, so fast. But, there's a moral to the story kids: don't do drugs! ! Get well Sly, there's a lot of great music that's yet to be written, and you're the man!

This man made FUNK a acceptable Music Form when it was not in the beginning. We use a scale not known to white people for so long only to be revealed in the 1920s on the east coast. We all knew this scale and by the 1960s it was time to bend it and flip it over to stir up some sexual sparks because we as a people were begining to be united. By 1979 it stopped. Thats when we lost our youth and we temporarry lost Sly. This is a outstanding post and I thank you North Sea Jazz for loading it up for us older folks.
