Larry Graham's bass was shaking the ground like an effing freight train!!!!
@seanoconnor25312 жыл бұрын
@@markharry172 the thing that frustrates me the most about a lot of concert footage from the past and particularly Woodstock, is that many of the cameramen had no familiarity with the repertoire of the bands they were filming and were not aware of the musician's solo spots or dynamics of the songs. there is little or no footage of Larry Graham or the Who's John Entwistle for that matter. I think bass players were an afterthought back then as they were the backing band for the front man ( or woman ) or virtuoso guitar player. To that point they don't have front man these days like they had back then in my opinion. I can hear Larry but darn i'd like to see him too.

This music festival was filmed by a small film and audio crew. I believe that having them there to film the music festival was a last-minute decision by the concert promoters. It was the ONLY good decision that the made for this music festival.
@VintageOnline100 Жыл бұрын
what people don’t realize is that this wasn’t being played at 8 pm. they actually came on at 3:30 AM & brought down the house. The transition into this song from the prior song “Music Lover” was absolutely electric - it’s on You Tube but wish they had the full video instead of sliced up in parts. Genius.
