Eritrea is extremely safe place. Majority of Eritrean citizens are Law-abiding people, it would be very unusual for violent crimes to occur. There is mandatory national service which has been the source of cultivation for the Eritrean youth. National identity, nationalism is pervasive which has created unshakable unity among the people of Eritrea.

Hey, I contacted them and they're issuing visas, they just won't update their website for some reason. Just follow the tourist visa requirements they have online and you'll be fine. You can always email them to reassure yourself also.

What a wonderful place to be! Non-threatening young men out and about while women walk in safety without fear of being harmed. Even a senior citizen such as myself would feel comfortable going out in the evening to get something to eat, go shopping, or just for a leisurely walk, with friends or even alone. I didn't know such a place existed. Is there a place like this in the U.S.A.? If so, take me there. If not, take me to Asmara Eritrea!
