Randomly stumbled upon this video, and it's shot right near my office! I get my breakfast (supu and chapati) from Brake Point sometimes. There's lots of good seafood restaurants in Dar--sorry this one was a miss! Karibu tena.

In Tunisia (North Africa) in summer its almost a fight for a paking spot in the shade because the car is like an oven when in the sun.

Why don’t you get yourself a nice hat to protect you from the sun and sunglasses and this way you feel the heat less

I was just in coastal Kenya (Mombasa) 3 weeks ago. If I ever visit coastal East Africa again, it won't be in their Summer. I have experienced some bad heat and humidity before....Houston, Miami, Bangkok, Manila, etc. and grew up in hot/humid Alabama. But Mombasa / East Africa took it to another level for me. That trip was the first time in my life that I thought I would pass out from heat. And I never experienced air conditioning anywhere that I went...not even in my hotel. Trying to sleep at night was an experience. Cold showers only helped for 5 minutes. It would probably take me months to get used to that type of environment....if I could ever get used to it.
