i had to split tempo because i wanted to include both parts of the bridge and i didn't want to have a whole minute straight of just one bridge. and apparently the bridge in snsd's 'the boys' isn't actually a bridge, but weirdly rather a third pre-chorus which lies in between two separate bridges, but whatever. it's not my fault that song has such a weird song structure.

I think there are 2 reasons why SM's songs have the best bridges in Kpop: 1. They have the best vocalists in Kpop who were trained to sing their hearts out with perfect techniques: Taeyeon, Tiffany, Krystal, Luna, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O, Taemin, Jonghyun, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy, Doyoung, Taeil, Renjun, Haechan, etc. The other members in the groups are also able to do harmonization or ad-libs to support the vocalists. 2. They have the most open-minded and innovative producers, who are not afraid to experiment with the new sounds and make the weirdest yet most iconic songs you have ever heard.

Okay, okay, okay all the bridges are so good but can we talk about 90s love bridge like haechan's and ten's high note is so good, the way they harmonized it was AMAZING and also haechan's adlibs (you can hear it clearly when you use headphones) when he sings that riff on the line "우리 원해/Uri wonhae", he is just on another level but I am not surprised, I mean he's a sm vocalist. And also the mr mr bridge by snsd, like the vocal line SLAYED, the way tiffany started with a high note, then jessica and finally taeyeon, it was like a "guess who's the main vocalist" game, snsd's vocal line is SUPERIOR. SM vocalists are truly something else and they are the best vocalists in the kpop industry, with the best voices, best training and best technique, they raise the bar so high and all of them are gifted. And that's on PERIODT ✨💅

For me sm has 80/90% greatest bridges in the industry and also majority of greatest pre chorus too. Sm music is a whole art.

Exactly! Say it louder. I enjoy listening to many artists. But the main thing is I sorely miss is well produced and well-sung bridges. Most groups treat bridges as fillers which is a contrast to SM groups. Their peak is in their bridges. Although I think many groups outside of SM have got good pre-choruses but SM pre-choruses also need to talked about more. Also, in addition, the endings of songs by SM artists are some of the best in Kpop. Hope someone makes a video on those one day.
