I think there are 2 reasons why SM's songs have the best bridges in Kpop: 1. They have the best vocalists in Kpop who were trained to sing their hearts out with perfect techniques: Taeyeon, Tiffany, Krystal, Luna, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O, Taemin, Jonghyun, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy, Doyoung, Taeil, Renjun, Haechan, etc. The other members in the groups are also able to do harmonization or ad-libs to support the vocalists. 2. They have the most open-minded and innovative producers, who are not afraid to experiment with the new sounds and make the weirdest yet most iconic songs you have ever heard.

Most groups treat bridges as fillers which is a contrast to SM groups. Their peak is in their bridges. Although I think many groups outside of SM have got good pre-choruses but SM pre-choruses also need to talked about more.
